An emergency operations center ( EOC) is a central command and control facility responsible for carrying out the principles of emergency preparedness and emergency management, or disaster management functions at a strategic level during an emergency, and ensuring the continuity of operation of a company, political subdivision or other organization
The Point Pleasant EOC is located within the borough and houses a backup dispatch center, offices, weather monitoring stations, a conference room, and is backed up by a generator.
The Point Pleasant OEM has 4 Levels of operations, Level 1 Full Activation, Level 2 Partial Activation, Level 3 Increased Monitoring, and Level 4 being Normal Operations. Click the button EOC Levels under the current activation status for more detailed information.

The Ocean County Special Needs Registry is a voluntary service open to all citizens with disabilities who reside, attend school, or are employed in Ocean County. The registry was created to help police officers and other emergency service personnel to better assist residents with special needs in the event of an emergency by providing those first responders with vital information regarding a registrant’s disability, emergency contact information, a physical description, and current photograph of the registrant.

Once you've signed up for Smart911, first responders will be aware of the important information you have provided that will help Police, Fire, and EMS locate and help you in an emergency

NJ Register Ready was created to help people with disabilities in times of emergency. NJ residents with special needs are encouraged to add their personal information to this special needs registry. The information provided will be shared with emergency response agencies so that responders will be better equipped to serve registrants in the event of an emergency or evacuation in their area. No one else will have access to the information.
